18 January, 2017-Maphunziro 265 is pleased to announce that Victor Kalenga has been awarded the Thoko Chikondi scholarship which is run by renowned photographer Thoko Chikondi. Victor is a form 3 student at Chamakala CDSS in Kasungu. Despite being visually challenged, Victor emerged top of his class during JCE mock exams and JCE exams. However, he dropped out of school due to financial challenges. His teacher contacted Maphunziro 265 and supported him with his application and he has been successful!
Victor’s story is a story of determination, hard work, focus and rising against the odds.
